Ledgent Finance & Accounting is hiring! We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Staff Accountant to join a growing team in Tampa, FL. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, with a strong focus on lease accounting and multi-entity operations.
The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting foundation, hands-on experience with complex lease portfolios, and exposure to fixed assets, job costing, or dealership accounting environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Manage and maintain lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842, including right-of-use assets, lease liabilities, and related disclosures
- Support accounting for multi-location and/or multi-entity operations, including intercompany transactions
- Assist with accounting related to construction projects and/or dealership operations, such as job costing, work-in-progress (WIP), inventory, and fixed assets
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate fixed asset and depreciation schedules
- Support internal and external audits and provide requested documentation
- Assist with process improvements and system enhancements within the accounting function
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 2-5+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
- Prior experience in construction industry highly preferred
- Working knowledge of job costing, WIP, inventory, or fixed asset accounting
- Experience with ERP systems and lease accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Exposure to multi-location dealership groups or construction entities
- Experience supporting audits or complex reconciliations
- Familiarity with financial systems implementation or optimization
